Územní působnost poboček

Působnost ČHMÚ je rozdělena do 7 poboček, 5 českých a 2 moravských. Jejich území je vymezeno hranicí ČR a základními rozvodnicemi: České Budějovice - povodí Vltavy po Orlík, Hradec Králové - povodí Labe po Výrovku a povodí Stěnavy, Plzeň - povodí Berounky po soutok s Klíčavou, Ohře po soutok s Bočským potokem a povodí Naabu a Regenu, Praha - povodí Vltavy pod Orlíkem, Labe pod Výrovkou po Vltavu a osa Labe od Vltavy po hranici, Ústí nad Labem - přítoky Labe pod Vltavou, povodí Lužické Nisy a Smědé, Ostrava - povodí Odry a Moravy po soutok s Bečvou a Brno - povodí Moravy pod soutokem s Bečvou a Dyje. The areal responsibility of the CHMI is divided into 7 branch offices (5 Bohemian and 2 Moravian). Their territories are defined by the borders of the Czech Republic and the basic catchment divide lines: České Budějovice - the Vltava River basin upstream of the Orlík water reservoir; Hradec Králové - The Elbe River basin upstream of the confluence with the Výrovka River, and the Stěnava River basin; Plzeň (Pilsen) - the Berounka River basin upstream of the Klíčava River basin, the Ohře River basin upstream of the confluence with the Boč Stream, and the basins of the Naab and the Regen; Prague - the Vltava River basin downstream of the Orlík water reservoir, the Elbe River basin downstream of the confluence with the Výrovka River and upstream of the confluence with the Vltava River, and the stream of the Elbe River downstream of the confluence with the Vltava River up to the national borders; Ústí nad Labem - basins of the tributaries of the Elbe River downstream of the confluence with the Vltava River, the Lusatian Neisse River basin and the Smědá River basin; Ostrava - the Odra River basin and the Morava River basin upstream of the confluence with the Bečva River; Brno - the Morava River basin downstream of the confluence with the Bečva River, and the Dyje River basin.
