Regional plans of forest development are devoted to the definition of forest managment princeples for the czech natural forests in different regions. Regional plans of forest development are legislatively embedded in forest act No.289/1995 Coll. § 23 and Decree the Ministry of Agriculture No. 83/1996 Coll. on elaboration of regional plans of forest development and the definition of economical sets.Regional plans of forest development include summary data of forets state, requirements for forest function in public interest and recommendation for managment ways based on ekosystem concept. Oblastní plány rozvoje lesů jsou dílem definujícím zásady hospodaření v lesích dle přírodních lesních oblastí České republiky.Oblastní plány rozvoje lesů jsou legislativně zakotveny v lesním zákoně č.289/1995 Sb. §23 a Vyhlášce Mze č. 83/1996 Sb. o zpracování oblastních plánů rozvoje lesů a o vymezení hospodářských souborů.Oblastní plány rozvoje lesů obsahují souhrnné údaje o stavu lesů, potřebách plnění funkcí lesů jako veřejného zájmu a doporučení o způsobech hospodaření v ekosystémovém pojetí.
