Names of oceans, seas, their parts, ocean currents and submarine features can also exist in the form of Czech exonyms (domestic forms of foreign geographical names), even though the Czech Republic is a landlocked state. In the previously published Index of Czech Exonyms, Czech forms of sea names were included only when the sea in question lay within the area of state sovereignty of a single state.
