MORP 50 patří mezi tematická státní mapová díla. MORP 50 mají topografický charakter, obsahují polohopis, výškopis a popis. Hodí se zejména pro studium a hodnocení geografického prostředí v širších souvislostech, pro agendy v oblasti evidence, plánování a projektování staveb liniového a síťového charakteru, zpracování zásad územního rozvoje apod., zpravidla na úrovni správního území obce s rozšířenou působností nebo na okresní úrovni."""@cs, """The Map of Municipalities with Extended Competence 1:50 000 (MORP 50) is a topographic map providing a comprehensive view of the administrative district of the respective municipality. The map is produced on the basis of the Base Topographic Map of the Czech Republic 1:50 000 (ZTM 50). The map format is designed so that the administrative territory of each municipality with extended competence is displayed on a separate map sheet. The map sheets have no map frame; the map is processed and printed up to the edge of the sheet. Compared to the source maps, the content is modified by highlighting the boundaries of administrative territories and by colour-coding the names of municipalities with extended competence and municipalities with an authorised municipal office.
