Jedná se o mapy z let 1826-1843, původně určené k archivaci v Centrálním archivu pozemkového katastru ve Vídni, odkud byly po vzniku Československé republiky v rámci archivní rozluky předány do Prahy. Na rozdíl od tzv. originálních map stabilního katastru zachycují původní stav krajiny bez dodatečného zákresu pozdějších změn. Dodnes patří ze strany badatelů k nejžádanějším a nejvyužívanějším archiváliím ÚAZK. Pro území Čech je archivováno cca 8400 katastrálních map na cca 31 tisících mapových listech. V katastrálních územích, pro která se tyto mapy nedochovaly, jsou postupně nahrazovány originálními mapami stabilního katastru. These maps originate in 1826-1843 and originally were intended for archiving in the Central Archive of Cadastre of Lands in Vienna. After declaration of the Czechoslovak Republic they were handed over to Prague in frame of separation of archives. In contrast to so called Original Maps of Stable Cadastre they record the original state of landscape without drawings of later changes. Up to now they belong to the most demanded and to the most used Archival documents of the Central Archive of Surveying and Cadastre. There are approximately 8400 cadastral maps in approx. 31 thousands map sheets for the territory of Bohemia. In cadastral districts where these maps were not retained, these maps are being continuously replaced by original maps of the stable cadastre. Data jsou Ústředním archivem zeměměřictví a katastru (ÚAZK) pořizována skenováním shromážděných archiválií za účelem zpřístupňovat odborné i laické veřejnosti výsledky rozsáhlých geodetických a kartografických prací, které v minulosti probíhaly na našem území. The data are acquired by scanning of collected archival documents at the Central Archive of Surveying and Cadastre to make the results of extensive land survey and cartographic works from our territory in the past available to experts and laic communities.
