Forest Site Type

Forest site type (FST) is the set of natural biocenoses and their developmental stages, including the environment, thus biogeocoenoses developmentally belonging to him. It is a unit of narrow margins for growth of trees, their wood production and consequently a desirable species composition and spatial similarity of forests and economic measures. FST is characterized by combination of the phytocenoses species, soil conditions, occurrence in the field and the potential quality of forest stands.
