Most of reporting profiles are situated at sites where water-gauging stations are located as well - they have stable water-gauging profile, a staff gauge and often also an automatic station with transmission and given rating curve that relates water level to discharge. The reporting network is composed of profiles of types A, B and C. A - basic - maintained by the state through the CHMI and the state enterprises Povodi. B - complementary - established by the offices of individual administrative regions, mostly maintained by the CHMI or the state enterprises Povodi based on contracts, the rest is maintained by the local municipalities C - supporting - intentionally maintained by the municipalities or the stakeholders of endangered properties. Since 1997, over 200 A-type profiles have been maintained, as well as over 200 B-type profiles. Each reporting profile has its own registration sheet. The information flows within the reporting network are described in the methodological instructions of the Ministry of Environment.
