CLES is a land cover dataset dividing the territory of the Czech Republic into 40 categories. Compiled with the support from the Integrated LIFE project for Natura 2000 in the Czech Republic, LIFE-IP: N2K Revisited (LIFE17 IPE/CZ/000005). Copyright: © AOPK ČR 2024, using own data and ZABAGED data (© ČÚZK 2023), Corine Land Cover 2018 (© EEA 2023), Urban Atlas 2018 (© EEA 2023), LPIS (© SZIF 2023), ÚHÚL (© ÚHÚL 2023).
The main differences between CLES 2012 and CLES 2022: updated data, application of new source data (ÚHÚL, LPIS), more precise boundaries of the watercourse and commercial forest polygons, removal of insignificant small polygons, the addition of a new category - “Scattered greenery”, extended transport network. CLES 2022 also does not divide watercourses into natural and non-natural, anddoes not distinguish betweenurban and non-urban areas. Main differences between CLE 2022 and CLE 2023: larger envelope zone around Contiguous/Discontiguousurban fabric by 15 m. Last update does not include any RUIAN data.
