Terrain analysis

The map application is intended for basic analyses of altimetry data of the Czech Republic. It enables viewing of altimetry data in the form of coloured shaded relief, slope and slope orientation, shaded relief of shaded relief with Z-factor 10. The application also offers tools for visibility analyses. The analytical functions of the map application provide image and geoprocessing services that allow spatial analyses to be performed on the source data directly on the server. The application enables to display the result of analyses with underlying maps (Base topographic map, Orthophoto) on the background with the option to set the transparency of the displayed layers. The result can be also viewed in a 3D local scene, or downloaded in SHP, DGN, DXF or TXT format. Services are published and managed by Land Survey Office on the ArcGIS Server. The source data for these services is a digital terrain model of the 4th generation (DMR 4G), digital terrain model of the 5th generation (DMR 5G) and digital surface model of the 1st generation (DMP 1G) transformed to a raster format in S-JTSK coordinate reference system.
