Aretin's map of Bohemia, year 1619

Map of Bohemia and the adjacent border region from 1619. Author: Paulus Aretin of Ehrenfeld. The map is oriented to the north. It depicts 1 157 settlements, hydrography, vegetation, relief, two roads and the division of the country into regions. Both Czech and German terminology is used; other descriptions are in Latin. The author also created a map legend. The map is decorated with the imperial double-headed eagle and the Czech royal lion; on the sides are male and female figures representing Czech society of the 17th century.
