Criginger's map of Bohemia, year 1568
Map of Bohemia and the adjacent border region from 1568. Author: Johann Criginger. The map is oriented to the north. It depicts 292 settlements, hydrography, vegetation and relief. Both Czech and German terminology is used, sometimes in a corrupted form; other descriptions are in Latin. The map is decorated with the coats of arms of Bohemia, Lusatia, Moravia and Silesia and a portrait of Emperor Rudolf II.
