Digital geographical model of territory of the Czech Republic (Data250)
The Data250 database is a digital geographical model of the territory of the Czech Republic, corresponding in accuracy and level of generalisation to the 1:250 000 scale. Data250 covers the entire territory of the Czech Republic and was created in 2023 by generalising the original Data200 database. Its minimum positional accuracy is 125 m. The database contains approximately 50 types of geographic objects and is organised into eight thematic groups: administrative boundaries, hydrography, transport, settlements, names, miscellaneous objects, vegetation and land cover, and altimetry.
This data are homogenous and harmonised on state boundaries in the frame of Europe due to its origin. Therefore they can be combined with ERM data from other countries and obtain a high quality background for solution of not only national but also cross-border projects. At Land Survey Office this database is used as a source for creating of national map series of the corresponding scale and for updating of thematic superstructures including ERM.

The Data250 database was derived in 2023 from the Data200 database. Main source data for Data200 was EuroRegionalMap (ERM) database, or more precisely Digital landscape model 1 : 200 000 (DMÚ200) and Fundamental Base of Geographic Data of the Czech Republic - ZABAGED®. Sources for update of Data250 data are ZABAGED®, Orthophoto of the Czech Republic, data from Territorial Identification Registry of Basic Settlement Units by Czech Statistical Office, data from the Road Databank Ostrava, data from Správa železnic (railway administration) and data from the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic.
