Ortophoto CIR (Color InfraRed) for the Czech Republic. CIR orthophoto of the Czech Republic is provided for data since 2010 (data covering small area around Semily are already available for the year 2006). Up to 2012 the data is created with pixel size 0.5 m, data from years 2013 – 2017 is created with pixel size 0.25 m and since 2018 it has pixel size 0.2 m. CIR orthophoto (also called false color orthophoto) is created from aerial images, where the red band is replaced by near infrared band, green band by red band and blue band by green band. CIR orthophoto is used mainly for the evaluation of vegetation condition. Healthy vegetation is represented by deep red color. CIR orthophoto is created for Forest Management Institute (FMI) from the same aerial images which the “classical” orthophoto is created.
