Colour InfraRed (CIR) orthophoto data for the Czech Republic. CIR orthophoto has been available since 2010 (for a small area around Semily, data are available from 2006). Data up to 2012 have a pixel size of 0.5 m, data from 2013 to 2017 have a pixel size of 0.25 m, and from 2018 onwards the images have a pixel size of 0.2 m. CIR orthophoto (false-colour orthophoto) is produced from aerial survey photographs, where the red band is replaced by the near-infrared band, the green band by the red band, and the blue band by the green band. CIR orthophoto is used primarily for evaluating vegetation condition. Healthy vegetation is represented by bright red colour. CIR orthophoto is produced for the National Forestry Institute (NLI) from the same aerial photographs used to produce the standard orthophoto.
