Digital seemingly seamless orthophoto of the Czech Republic in a 8-bit color scale. The pixel of the raster image Ortofota ČR displays 0.125 m of the area in the middle plane of the terrain. The positional accuracy of the Orthophoto of the Czech Republic, expressed as the mean positional error, has been improving over time. In 2021–2022, this value reached 0.19–0.20 m, and in 2023–2024, it reached 0.18–0.19 m (see Technical Report on the Orthophoto of the Czech Republic). Orthofoto ČR is distributed in graphic raster formats JPG in dispensing units with a size showing 2.5 x 2 km of terrain in the SM 5 clade. The file data is provided in JPEG format and supplemented with JGW files for the S-JTSK, ETRS89-TM33N and ETRS89-TM34N coordinate systems. The files are compressed (ZIP) for download.
The Orthophoto of the Czech Republic is exploited in the branch of Ministry of Agriculture as a background for evaluation of fundamental production units in the LPIS system, in the branches of ČÚZK and Ministry of Defence it serves also as a fundamental background for topographic data database update and consequently for update of state map series. The Orthophoto of the Czech Republic is provided to many other users and above all it is intended for state administration bodies and organisations and local governments where is exploited for planning and project preparation, in nature protection, risk management and many others.
