WMS-ORTOCIR view service is provided as a public view service for the archive CIR (Colour InfraRed) orthophoto data of the Czech Republic. Each layer of the service contains CIR orthophotos from one calendar year. CIR orthophoto of the Czech Republic has been provided since 2010. CIR orthophoto (also called false colour orthophoto) is created from aerial images, where the red band is replaced by the near infrared band, the green band by the red band and the blue band by the green band. CIR orthophoto is used primarily for the evaluation of vegetation condition. Healthy vegetation is represented by deep red colour. CIR orthophoto is created for the Czech Forestry Institute (CFI) from the same aerial images from which the "classical" orthophoto is created. The service complies with the Technical Guidance for INSPIRE View Services v. 3.11 and simultaneously with the OGC WMS 1.1.1 and 1.3.0 standards.
