WMS-ORTOCIR is provided as public viewing service over archive CIR (Color InfraRed) orthophotos of Czech Republic. Each service layer contains CIR orthophoto from one calendar year. CIR orthophoto of Czech Republic is provided for data since 2010. CIR orthophoto (also called false color orthophoto) is created from aerial images, where the red band is replaced by near infrared band, green band by red band and blue band by green band. CIR orthophoto is used mainly for the evaluation of vegetation condition. Healthy vegetation is represented by deep red color. CIR orthophoto is created for Forest Management Institute (FMI) from the same aerial images which the “classical” orthophoto is created. The service meets Technical orders for INSPIRE viewing services in 3.11 and also meets OGC standard WMS 1.1.1 and 1.3.0.
