Historical geographical names of the Czech Republic

The publication focuses on non-settlement geographical names in the territory of the Czech Republic used in the past. Due to the scope, terrain and hydrography names were selected, as listed with additional data in the published work Geographical Names of the Czech Republic (published by ČÚZK in 2016). Only selected map and non-map sources were excerpted; the names are given in the language of the source and are linked to the standardised names recorded at the date of publication in the Geonames information system. The Historical Names application, in which names can be searched over maps and orthophotos, was also published on the Geoportal. In this scope, it is the first work of its kind. The publication has 144 pages; on 103 pages we find 1 572 names identified for 679 geographical objects. A multilingual glossary of abbreviations used in various maps is also included. 1st edition.
