The aim is to notice and standardize this part of Czech exonymy in its recent range and state. Historical exonyms which are used only in specific contexts (e.g. historical research) or they are not used at all are collected only in a very narrow selection that demonstrates the evolution of Czech exonymy in the second half of the 20th century. Thus, the presented list serves as a prescriptive handbook for all who are in touch with Czech exonyms – both for geographers, cartographers, historians, linguists, journalists, radio and TV presenters and ordinary members of the public.
